At zuhd.store, we take pride in producing all of our keffiyehs in a family-owned factory that holds a rich legacy of In the bustling textile markets of Hebron during the early 1950s, Jido Ahmed Al Bulbul honed his craft on a manual loom, quickly mastering the intricacies of the textile industry. By 1958, Ahmed and his brothers channeled their expertise into founding their own venture in Jericho, Palestine, focusing on the manual production of keffiyehs — a garment steeped in cultural significance.and tradition. Originally established in Jericho, Palestine in the 1950s by Jido Ahmed Al Bulbul, our factory has a storied history. Following his expulsion from Palestine in 1967, the factory found a new home in Amman, Jordan, where it continues to thrive under the stewardship of two of Jido Ahmed’s children.
Today, our factory not only crafts a wide array of keffiyehs but also a diverse range of other textiles. While our headquarters is based in Australia, our commitment to authenticity and supporting the local Arab community remains unwavering. By preserving this vital connection to our roots, we ensure that each piece we create is imbued with the heritage and heart of our origins.
From Palestine to Jordan: A New Chapter
Enduring Spirit
Forced to leave his homeland following the tumultuous events of the 1967 war, Ahmed Al Bulbul relocated to Amman, Jordan, where he embarked on a new beginning with the establishment of the Golden Textile Factory. This venture marked the introduction of the first keffiyeh factory in Jordan. Despite the challenges, Ahmed's resilience ensured that the tradition of keffiyeh manufacturing not only continued but thrived. His dedication garnered substantial local support, sustaining the business for over three decades until his passing in 2006. Today, his legacy continues to inspire and influence.
